When you sign in with Google we get your name, email and profile photo. We store that you confirmed you are 13 or older, never your birth date.
We ask for your location only when you tap "Use my location" or vote. When you vote, your position is used once to decide whether you are near the deal, and we store only "near" or "not near". We never store your coordinates and never track you in the background.
We store which deals you voted for and when, to enforce one vote per deal per day. A one-way hash of your network address is kept to limit spam; the address itself is not stored.
Your handle, level, badges and the deals you found are public on your scout profile. Your email, name, votes and location never are. You can download your data or delete your account any time in Scout settings; deleting removes your profile, votes, checks and points.
When you add a deal or price, or answer "Still valid?", we keep what you sent and your account id so we can review it and award points. Photos have their location data removed before upload.
We count anonymous events like "opened the map", "voted" or "shared a deal" to learn what works (PostHog). They carry a random device id, or your account id once you sign in, never your email, name or location, and we turn off location lookup from your network address. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we send nothing.
If you claim a restaurant, we keep your name, role, contact and the proof you send to confirm you run it. Owner stats are counts only; owners never see who viewed or voted.
We never post for you, never read your contacts, and never show other people where you are.
